Eligibility
Anyone active in the field of electronic
trading of equities in Europe can enter.
Anyone can enter a third party’s
performance or you can enter your own firm or even yourself. One Nomination
only per form. You may enter more than one Category (using a separate form for
each one). Please do not submit duplicate Nominations.
To ensure you are entering the most appropriate
Category(ies) please read carefully the nomination criteria for those
Categories in which you are interested. For each Category entered please state
the specific company and department if applicable) to which the person, team or
product/.service you are nominating is associated with.
To enter, you must submit two required
materials – the Nomination Form and the Summary Statement. Submission of up to
two additional pieces of supporting documentation is optional.
Summary
Statement
Each nomination must have a Summary Statement
(500 words maximum) in clear English stating why this Nomination should win in
its Category.
Evidence
of Achievement
The Judges require nominations to have
strong supporting materials for each Nomination, with a maximum of two
documents. Please include clear evidence of achievement and/or explanation of
why the achievement is significant or innovative. Financial results, news
stories from relevant media organisations, documents from independent research
organisations, relevant media copies of press releases and testimonials from
clients, etc are helpful.
When entering “of the year” Categories, the
Judges expect to review projects that have come to fruition with measurable
results over the previous 12 months.
All the information contained in the nominations
which is marked “confidential” will remain so.
The panel of Judges will also review
relevant websites so exact urls and access codes should be provided.
The most important point to focus on when
preparing the supporting evidence is ensuring they are clear and relevant.
Please attach the most straight-forward and tangible evidence you can to
support the each Nomination.
- Nominations received after the closing date will not be
accepted under any circumstances.
- The Judges reserve the right to disqualify any nomination not
fully completed or not accompanied by the appropriate supporting
documentation.
- The Judges’ decision is final in all cases. No correspondence
will be entered into.
- The Shortlist of Finalists will be notified in advance of the
presentation of Awards.
- The Winner of each Category will be announced at the Awards Dinner
in Paris
in April 2008. Under no circumstances will Winners’ details be disclosed
before the Ceremony.
- The Judges reserve the right to amend Category selections where
appropriate.
- All material submitted will remain strictly confidential to the
Judges. We regret that we cannot return any submitted materials.
- Reviews of Nominations from Awards Finalists and Winners may be
published in connection with the Awards. Please clearly mark any
confidential materials as “not for publication”.
Checklist
Each Nomination will consist of TWO emails
to be sent to tradetechAwards@wbr.co.uk.
- The completed Nomination Form (only ONE form per
nomination).The form will prompt you to create a PASSWORD (six letters
maximum) to be used in the subject line of both emails.
- The Summary Statement (maximum 500 words) explaining why this
nomination should win. Supporting material is essential. Please send a
maximum of two supporting materials as email attachments (Word documents,
or pdf format only) e.g. financial results, client testimonials, news
stories, research reports, etc.
