Leadership, commitment to excellence, support for industry associations and work with recognized charities will all be taken into account by the Judges. All Nominations must be made or supported by a close professional colleague within the individual’s firm. Buy Side use of advanced trading tools is well established in the European market but success is highly variable. Algorithmic trading in all its variations would fit into this Category, as would the latest innovations in Transactional Cost Analysis tools, and other tools. Entrants should focus on Buy Side teams who are using these advanced tools in their trading activities, as opposed to theoretical new tools only being launched. Nominations must identify the Buy Side team using the tools, but can also mention the identity of the vendor and the product where appropriate. The innovative application of the latest technologies and evidence of success in measuring and lowering transaction costs, and in generating greater profitability will be the key features.
